Finding Our Value in Shoes

Hello All,
As we begin our new Building Fund Campaign (The Shoe Rally), God has began to deal with me on some things.  One of my favorite sayings is "before you pass judgement put yourself into the other person's shoes".  Now this helps me make better choices & consider the situation from a different perspective.  However, this Shoe Rally is urging me to think a little deeper. No, Not the WWJD type of deal, but really exposing some stuff in me that has hindered me from breaking out & serving God & His people to the fullest.

How 2 Words Changed My Life

Hello My name is Kofee Lilly.  I am a new member who hit the ground running towards God & this ministry.  Like many of us, I was missing my blessing due to my issues with God.  I walked into this little church with the big God, EXPECTING something.  But I could not have imagined what I received. That Sunday, I reconnected with God, was forgiven of my sins, found my Pastors & church home all because I spoke 2 words, "I SURRENDER".  Since that Sunday, I have missed 1 Sunday due to working.

My Passion

GOD BLESS YOU BELOVED! THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE! REJOICE & BE GLAD! I pray all is well in your world! Yesterday was our 2nd W.O.W.W.W Fellowship - Women Of Wisdom, Worship, & War! When I tell you GOD showed up & blessed us, believe me! I was given one of the greatest compliments today! One of the women from our fellowship yesterday told me "You are so grounded". It sent me into a HIGH PRAISE because that has not always been the case. As a visionary, I am often faced with many challenges. Although I have been walking consistently with the Lord for 20+ years, I still have to "fight the good fight of faith" (1st Timothy 6:12) on a consistent, daily basis. The enemy of our souls is always busy trying to bring me under condemnation as I transparently share my testimony of deliverance from so many different forms of demonic oppression. There have been many times when I seriously despaired of the burdens that come with the call. Oh, yeah - people are always excited about the gifts, the callings, the vision, the elevation. But sometimes we neglect to emphasize the importance of the attitude we have as we deal with the spiritual attacks and psychological warfare that comes with the gifts, callings, visions, and elevations in our lives. From the moment Jesus entered the world as a child born to the Virgin Mary, up until the day of His crucifixion, He had to endure attacks that were intended to cause Him to abort His purpose. He was ostracized, falsely accused of being the prince of devils, abandoned by His disciples when He was arrested, and in my opinion, the worst thing was His cry to the Father on the cross, as He carried our sins, "Why hast Thou forsaken Me?" (Matthew 27:46). But no matter what the attack, throughout His entire earthly journey, Jesus always relied on the relationship He had with the Father as His strength to endure every hardship. Jesus warned us that being a disciple of His would mean that we will be hated as He was hated. We will be attacked and persecuted for righteousness' sake, just as He was. But He also told us that as long as we remain in continuous fellowship with Him, we are assured of peace during times of persecution, trials, and tribulations (John 16:33; Isaiah 26:3). I can attest to the truth of these Scriptures because I have had many, many obstacles, tests and trials to endure during these years of walking with the Lord. I fight an unseen battle everyday with spiritual forces who would love to see me abort the purpose for all of the years of pain and suffering I have survived. You do know that what you're going through has PURPOSE, right? Oh, yeah - for years, I was unaware that there was purpose in my pain, But now, as I am faced with Satan's silly little attempts to derail my destiny, I no longer cave in and cry uncontrollably as I use to when trials come - because now I know, Satan never goes after POWER-LESS folks - he always targets POWER-FUL folks! Now, glorifying God is MY PASSION. Sharing His Word is MY PASSION. Proving the devil the liar that he is is MY PASSION. Seeing people get delivered and set free from demonic bondage as I share the Word of God and my testimony of how He delivered me is MY PASSION. And daily, the enemy seeks to steal MY PASSION because MY PASSION IS THE FUEL OF MY MINISTRY. It's the reason why I never give up - MY PASSION. Despite all the hell I have been through, MY PASSION to DO HIS WILL remains consistent. I have to use THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD, to cut off the heads of the strongmen of rejection....I have to keep my HELMET OF SALVATION firmly in place to protect my mind from the spirit of condemnation....I have to stay GIRDED WITH THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS and use THE SHIELD OF FAITH, as well as keep on THE SHOES OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE, in order to keep the embers of the flame of the fire of MY PASSION consistently burning. I have to have DAILY DOSES of fellowship and communion with THE HOLY SPIRIT because HE IS THE FUEL OF MY PASSION. It is MY PASSION to see loved ones walk in the Will of God for their lives that drives me. It is MY PASSION to see my community changed to the glory of God that keeps me pushing and pursuing ways that I can be a catalyst of effective change. It is MY PASSION for SOULS that drives me to keep pressing towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, because SOULS are HIS PASSION! He came from Heaven to Earth TO SAVE SOULS. Matthew 6:33 tells us, "SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU". I want to encourage to become passionate about the things that God is passionate about. When HIS PASSION becomes OUR PASSION, He will make sure that we always have what we need to accomplish the dreams and the visions that we have. GOD BLESS YOU!!! WE LOVE YOU 4REAL 4LIFE!!!

How's Your Prayer Life?

GOD BLESS YOU BELOVED! This is the day that the LORD has made! REJOICE & be glad! I am so grateful for all of the support I receive from all of you. As I enter the sixth month as Pastor of Chosen 4His Glory Ministries, I often reflect on how terribly afraid and inadequate I originally felt when God gave me the vision for this ministry. The vision was birthed in 2010 at one of the lowest points of my life. My life was in a chaotic state, and my relationships with friends and family were strained due to the overwhelming stress I was under of just trying to hold things together. It seemed I just couldn't get a break, no matter how hard I tried. Everything I tried to do to make things right all backfired in my face. It was as if God had abandoned me, and I felt helpless, defeated, and totally alone. I vividly remember laying face down on my living room floor, crying out to God. In retrospect, I can honestly admit that I wasn't praying in faith; I was complaining in pain. I went on and on to God about how unfair my life was, and how wrong it was for everybody to be acting the way they were when I was nothing but good, kind, and loving to everybody! LOL! I told God that it was just not right that I had to go through so much. I mean, I had surrendered my life to Jesus, I was not on drugs anymore, I wasn't unfaithful in my marriage or in ministry, and still, everything seemed to be falling apart. Right in the middle of my tirade of pain and woe, I heard a still, small voice in my spirit say, "YOU ARE CHOSEN FOR MY GLORY. ALL OF THIS IS PART OF THE PROCESS SO YOU CAN FULFILL YOUR PURPOSE". In my spirit, it was as if I were on a journey with Holy Spirit, walking through the life of Jesus as He walked through His years on the earth. I thought about how HE must have felt, coming to earth to sacrifice His life for an ungrateful, thankless people. I thought about how unfair it was for Father God to ask Him to pay the price for sins He didn't commit. I thought about His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane, just before He was killed. And I remembered His incomparable love for Father God. Despite how unfair He may have felt it all was; regardless of how He may have thought things should have been - He reconciled within Himself that God had CHOSEN Him before the foundation of the world to be the Savior of the world. His purpose was to die so that we might live. I thought about Jesus' surrender to the Will of God for His life with His statement, "O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as Thou wilt" (Matthew 26:39, KJV). The Scriptures record several instances where Jesus prayed to the Father, but there is not one record of Him complaining about all He had to go through. Jesus knew from the beginning that there was something uniquely special about Him and He was always willing and obedient to do what Father God told Him to do without question and without complaint. Being despised and rejected of men; being beaten and crucified on the cross; being forsaken by Father God as He bore our shame while dying on the cross were all a part of the process Jesus had to go through in order to achieve His purpose as our Kinsmen Redeemer. As I got up off the floor from my pity-party on that cold day back in 2010, I had to reconcile within myself that I AM CHOSEN 4HIS GLORY. God has given me an assignment, and He has revealed His Will for my life, and everything I was going through was part of the process to get me ready for His purpose for my life. He never said it would be easy. In fact, in John 16:33, Jesus tells us that we will have difficulties in this life, but we can be encouraged because He has already overcome the world. There is nothing in this life that we cannot do if we have faith in God. Having faith in God does not mean that we will always agree with the way He decides to allow us to go through our process. His ways are not our ways; His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8). Having faith in God means that we take Him at His Word. When we pray, we are to pray in faith and in accordance with His Word, believing that He is faithful to perform His Word, and trustworthy enough to give us the strength we need for the journey. Praying in faith, not complaining in doubt, is a characteristic of a mature believer. How's your prayer life? Are you praying, or complaining? When I learned to pray in faith, I began to see results! Miracles, signs, and wonders occur right before my eyes! I encourage you today to pray expectantly & watch God perform miracles, signs, & wonders for you!

The Mission is Possible!

God bless you, Beloved! I know it has been a while since my last blog. So much has been taking place! God has been really taking me on a daily escapade. I cannot tell it all just yet, but when I tell you that God is performing miracles, signs, and wonders, believe me!
I was asked to do the eulogy for a 22 year old man a few weeks back. I was scared and felt unqualified to do it. But, I just let go and let God have His way, and 25 people gave their lives to Christ!

Valentine's Day with The Seniors

We spent Valentines' Day with the Seniors of Omni Manor Healthcare Center.
Pastor Cheryl Brown played the piano while the Seniors sang along. Pastor David read Scripture and prayed with everyone after Chosen 4His Glory Ministries made sure each resident received Valentine's Day cards. Ms. Marge, who has been saved for 71 years, was so excited she hurriedly finished her art project before we left the facility.

Ms. Marge accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior when she was 7 years old.

James 1:2-3 teaches us that we should rejoice in difficult situations, knowing that through them God tests our faith to bring out patience. Trials do eventually produce patience, but first they bring all kinds of junk to the surface such as pride, anger, rebellion, resentment, self-pity, and complaining. We need to face and deal with these ungodly traits before patience can come forth.

The Bible talks about purification, sanctification, sacrifice, and suffering.
